Being a host in one of the biggest event in the university is not easy! But being a host also is a privilege. A privilege to showcase the talent that the college being assigns has. In this year intramural it was the College of Business Administration and Accountancy who was being held as the host of the said event.

We all know that CBAA is known to be competitive, competitive in every aspect. So, I do believe that most of the students, faculty, staffs, even deans in every colleges were expecting a good preparation for this event. And indeed as what I have observed and heard from the feedback of my co-students in this university regarding to the said events were all so good. Indeed they said that CBAA can be trusted whatever you may entrust to them. Hurry for the dean, every chairperson of the different departments, faculties, and staff in the college.

Being nothing is not easy! It needs well-founded faith, security, and intimacy before God. I am a fourth year students taking up Entrepreneurial Marketing students and also a disciple/servant of God. Being entrusted with people to be raise into God’s kingdom is not easy.

Before, when I was in my baby Christian life my routine is just simple. I didn’t feel any pressure or anything until I grow and grow and found out that a Christian life is not a life that you were lying in the bed of roses but it is a life which is lying in the bed of roses with a lot of thorns.

Now I’m on the process of totally surrendering to God. Yes! It is not easy especially I have a lot of dreams, wants, and things to achieve. But I know that there is nothing which is more important than knowing Christ. Yes, not for boasting but God entrusted me six flocks to be feed, nurture, and train for his kingdom. There are times that I don’t really have time for my academics and other concerns but I do believe that it is God who will save it, increase it, and guard those things for me. All I must do is to trust him fully and obey.

Jema Days the high spot every first semester in the Department of Marketing College of Business Administration and Accountancy. The activity will usually held during last week of July or first week of August. Categories of activity were being formed such as literary which comprised of poster making, quiz show, and easy writing, musical which comprised of extempo, vocal solo, vocal duet, acapella, cheer jingle, and other activities such as group impersonation, marketing pitch, video ad, print ad. During the parade there are also competition what year will be the best arc, maingay sa daan, most discipline and so others. But the most awaited part of the celebration is the search for Mr. and Ms. JEMA 2014-2015.

Every year level was too busy for the preparation because all of us wanted to get the big trophy. And also this event is not just an ordinary but extra-ordinary because of our "bigantin" sponsor's. 

 As a batch president in the senior level it is really compression in our part because the fact that were in higher level so many expect that we will win.

We spend a lot of overnights to prepare everything and honestly we can’t avoid especially me and my treasurer who is always willing and available every time I need help that some of our subjects will be taken for granted. It was so frustrating and enervating in our part but we praise God because every effort and everything that we give up for that celebration results victory. We became the overall champion during this year Jema Days Celebration. I’m so thankful for all of my batch mates, co-officer for the support that they gave and for sharing their talents for us to win. All I can say is that you guys deserved to win. And were thankful also for the lower years for inspiring us to give our best and also we give all the thanks giving to our God for his grace and favor that enable us to win.

GREEN MARKETING EXHIBIT

 Students or everyone’s awareness about green marketing is one of the advocacies of our instructor in one of our elective subjects particularly the Marketing 111. What is green marketing about? It is using claims about a product’s in order to promote the product. One of the best example of this is the advertising of coca-cola in Taiwan they used the empty bottles in other usable one such as flower spry, soap powder storage, and many others.

The purpose of doing these things is for us to save of our mother earth and even to minimize global warming. We all know that our environment now is so different from before and as we can observe it continuously on getting worst and worst.

So as a catalyst of change, our instructor introduced to us the green marketing. And indeed I’m so delighted by our instructor because the fact that we are situated in the area wherein we could truly say that these things is so far from the possibility to be accomplish but still he keep his hope in his heart that nothing is impossible when we try. Indeed nothing is impossible. We conduct our first Green Marketing Exhibit on August 13, 2014 and it was so successful. Many were amazed to what we have created and say to their self that they too would practice the same of what we did. Indeed it was so flattered in our part, all our effort and what we gave for that event really not put in vain. As you can see in the photos there are many creative products, these are just from empty bottles particularly coke, nature spring, sparkle, and others being created into decorations, toys, and others. All of this for us is nothing but when we would like to apply our creativity to things like this it would really turn to something that has a value. By doing this, you did help to preserve our environment it might be that it is just nothing for you but indeed it really counts. 

Suman sa Latik to Bonggastik

Indeed having God as the center of everything will truly result good. I’m so blessed after hearing the story of Jeco’s or how it did start. From a humble beginning to be one of the most highly demanded restaurants at commercial center in Mindanao State University, Marwi City. Not just only that they already have their branch at Naawan, one of the system of the university.

Their business started on distributing a “Suman sa Latik” to the neighborhood until they raised a sufficient amount of money to have their own building for them to offer variety of food.  It was a partnership enterprise. The origin of the name of their business which is JECOS comes from the first letter of every partner’s name. 

According to the manager their secret in reaching their position now is no other than but God. They consider their business as blessing for them to bless others. In their operation process they applied the rule of holiness before God. There should be no any relationship between their employees if it can’t be avoided they will give a decision to the employee either they will be married and continue their work or if not they will be terminated. It’s my first time to hear this kind of policy in such a food establishment and I really appreciate it. And all of their decisions such as to expand or not or any changes to be made to their business they will inquire it to God first before doing it. So, now I understand why there business reaches the success they have right now despite and in spite of the location that they have. It is God who is with them and I do believe that when God is there no one can be against them.  Indeed from “Suman sa Latik into Bonggastik” is all I can say to them. 

Now despite that they already offer variety of food still there “suman sa latik” is always and forever present because for them it is the instrument which is used by God to reach what they have right now. So, they will never take it from their food offering said by the manager.
